I am getting so frustrated with PE2019 and Mojave. I have tried everything I have seen on support, but still can't get edit to work. I constantly get spinning wheel. So I read some more reviews and this one did pretty well, I must say I am content with it, it's not as nice in the hand as the Performance Mouse MX for a person with large hands but it has a solid build the rubbery / leather grip on the side adds a little class to a small mouse" "Easy click and an easy spinning wheel." MicroGear™ Precision Scroll Wheel allows both free-spin scrolling through thousands of spreadsheet rows, as well as the familiar click-to-click precision scrolling. SmartShift™ application- and task-sensing technology detects the active application and task at hand, instantly switching between the two scrolling modes as needed.

I've been looking around for a new mouse for work and although I'm not sure what exactly I want I do know that I've fallen in love with my Logitech mouse's "hyper scroll" wheel.
For those unfamiliar the mouse wheel doesn't click and gives very little resistance making scrolling quickly very easy.
Unfortunately I'm not necessarily in love with the logitech mouse.
At home I have a performance MX and it's okay.
At work I've been using a wired M310 I believe.
I was wondering if anyone knows of other mouse brands that have similar style scroll wheels.
I know many of the logitech mice give you the option of switching between clicky and smooth but I think all I really want is read article />Anyone know of any good alternatives?
This isn't what you're going to want to hear, but I can't think of any mice brands outside of Logitech that use this technology.
I've seen it on the MX Revolution and a few of the G-series gaming mice I've owned I always turn it off, it's bad in my FPS games The good news is Logitech has lots of different models with different features prices shapes and sizes.
Plus Ive had great luck with their peripherals and support over the last 18 or so years, so maybe you just need to look for the right Logitech mouse with the free-scroll wheel.
Logitechs gaming mice have either good or bad button placement and good or bad shell designs depending on your hand size and mousing style.
But lots also have swappable shells G9x and adjustable weights.
But if you hate logitech, then I wish you the best of luck in finding an alternative.
I am certain Microsoft has made some "smooth scroll" mice as well.
I really like Logitech's "micro precise + tilt switch" scroll wheels, like on the M325.
They still have detents, but the clicks are much lighter and closer together -- essentially a middle ground between traditional scroll wheels and the completely free-spinning ones.
The detents do seem to wear down with use though, so they eventually end up feeling more like a smooth scroll mouse.
I am using such a mouse now -- Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000.
It is quite terrible for AutoCAD, which uses the mouse wheel and center button for multiple zoom and pan functions.
I don't think you'll find that anywhere else.
What ever you do, don't get free spinning wheel mouse of MS's touch scroll mice like: WORST SCROLLING MECHANISM EVER!!!
Logitech experimented with something like that a few years back too.
I had one; it sucked.
WTF were they thinking?

It's free spinning wheel mouse plain horrible.
It's not even a true "touch" mechanism.
It's a switch on a teeter totter.
No real control on the speed of scrolling.
I have a sneaky suspicion where the MS BOB engineers wound up.
I used to crack open MSFT Intellimouse Optical mice andand while I was inside, I'd clip off the somewhat annoying "tail light" LEDs.
Thanks for all the replies guys.
I didn't notice anyone had replied.
Disappointing to hear that no one else really makes mice like that.
As someone commented it's the lack of friction that I like.
I'll probably find one I really like eventually.
For now I'll just stick to be being begrudgingly satisfied.
One man's bug is another man's feature!
I just posted something similar to the following on Logitech's site and I thought it might be worth adding to this thread too although, unfortunately I have no solution to the problem.
MX Revolution - awesome for years until left click became over responsive resulting in double-clicks, when only single clicks were intended Performance Mouse MX- awesome for years until left click became over responsive resulting in double-clicks, when only single clicks were intended G700s - bought it about a year ago.
Anywhere MX - bought this cheap at Costco.
The scroll wheel rocks a little bit up and then a little bit down after doing a hyperscroll.
This is unbelievably frustrating when reading and editing long documents, e.
If after a hyperscroll, the entire page of sentences and paragraphs moves up a little then down a little, it becomes very difficult to find one's free spinning wheel mouse />Each instance of this rocking up and then down is a distracting interruption.
The previously ability to hyperscroll and stop on a dime and stay stoppedwas 90% of the reason for my purchasing the mouse.
G502 - I bought this because of the difficulties real free gems Anywhere MX.
This G502 has the same problem, but is only ever so slightly better.
It needs to be replaced.
I use the G700s in absurd free college basketball tips for office and I need to buy a replacement for home.
I would buy another G700s except that I am concerned that this scroll wheel problem is some kind of new manufacturing issue that would appear should I purchase the same model again.
The reviews that I have seen for other brands of mice don't give me enough information about link scroll wheels to know how they compare to https://list-jackpot-spin.site/free/william-hill-bingo-free-10.html Logitech scroll wheel.
The stores that I have visited don't have the mice on display for testing to get an idea of how other brands' scroll wheels might compare.
Would love to know where to get another mouse with hyperscrolling-type wheel that can stop on a dime.
If anyone makes a discovery, it would be great to know about it.
I'm using a Logitech Marathon Mouse that has this feature.
Plus the batteries last forever.
Had mine a good 3 years and still on the original Duracells.
Edit: Apologies, looks like you were after something other than a Logitech.
Still, I can highly recommend it If you're willing to give it a go.
You know, I've seen quite a few Logitech mice where the scroll wheel got loose after a little while.
Currently on the generic mouse from an HP elitedesk, so we'll see how well this one lasts it feels a tad more solid actually, for some reason.
Battery life on wireless mice seems to have been a solved problem for several years now.
In many cases the original batteries may even outlive the mouse.

Well, the mechanical detent and the position sensor which is optical are separate mechanisms.
So misalignments are probably inevitable on an inexpensive mass-produced consumer product.
The sensor looks like an optical thing not the main optical sensorfrom what I can see inside.
That said, I think every single Logitech mouse I've owned save for the trusty but uncomfortable MX310 has done this after a while.
Am I too aggressive with mice or something?
Seems to happen far more if you click the middle mouse button opening pages in new tabs or closing tabs, for one.
I was using Logitech wireless stuff for a free spinning wheel mouse, but finally got tired of changing batteries every now and then, and keeping track of the receivers.
The K70 is wired, and I got a wired mouse to go with it at some point.
Doubly so for the grandparents - a physical cord is less confusing than moving a USB receiver around, so we switched them back to wired stuff eventually.

No, I don't think you're "too aggressive".
You've probably just got unrealistic expectations regarding the lifetime of baby sloth wallpaper cheap, mass-produced plastic mechanism that gets used a lot.

Wired keyboard the selection of wireless mechanicals seems to be rather limitedand wireless mice.
Battery life on wireless mice is now measured in months or years, and has ceased to be an issue as far as I'm concerned.
But is expecting the scroll wheel to work properly after a few years if you actually use some of the features really that much to ask?
Though I keep thinking.
I need a K70 of mice.
Built like a durable tank, yet plain and simple.
I don't want any of the fancy keys, I just want it to work for a really long time.
It's funny though - walk into a Frys, and the majority of mice are wireless.
I'm not saying that battery life is a problem these days, but it is one more thing to think about.
But more importantly, interference I've seen this with 2 Logitech sets nearby free spinning wheel mouse, the receiver doesn't always have a spot for the combo units and even if it does, I still have to keep track of the whole set.
Meh, it's not a big problem, but I don't see big gains from it either.

IMHO, having no detents is horrible for things that require precision use of the wheel.
There are a lot of applications that will let you use the wheel for zooming.
Just hold Ctrl and scroll.
I also use it in Photoshop for the same thing.

I have the Surface version of this mouse: It has basically the same touch scroll feature.
I have used the one you linked and I don't like it as much as the Arc Touch.
It is a touch mechanism on both, btw.
The switch under it is for middle click.
If you install the software you actually have complete control over the speed of scrolling.
Do I prefer it over a physical scroll wheel?
But, with some configuration it's very useable and definitely better than other mice I have used.
I also have this mouse for use with my laptop: I thought I was going to hate it at first, but after using more info for a bit it's absolutely fantastic to use.
